Throughout my career I have played a role in producing dozens of Corporate Meetings and Events. From small board meetings to large global sales conferences, I have worked with brands and across many industries including: life sciences & pharmaceutical, real estate, entertainment, sports, technology, non-profit, food services, media and hospitality. 

The case study below is from an Awards Dinner that was part of a larger 1,300 person National Business Meeting for a global pharmaceutical company.

At the conclusion of dinner a dozen confetti cannons showered the awards dinner creating an unexpected shared experience and celebratory moment.

The NA division of a global pharmaceutical company wanted to reimagine their annual awards celebration. Having celebrated individual business units separately in the past, they wished to bring their entire sales team together to celebrate.

• Design an awards celebration that brings all attendees together yet allowed for business units to celebrate on a micro level within the greater event. 

• Ensure all attendees felt recognized and appreciated for their accomplishments.

• Create surprising and memorable moments during the celebration.

The client was in the midst of a difficult year for their business and needed to walk a fine line between celebrating and not appearing to gloss over the the company's and their employee's challenges.

Business units were accustomed to celebrating as individual teams. But given the company's business challenges the budget only provided for one event. 

solutions.

COCKTAIL HOUR: Business units enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails in locations outside of the ballroom. They were able to begin the evening celebrating in smaller groups as in the past. This allowed the business units to connect on a more personal level with their colleagues.

DINNER: The ballroom was transformed from the general session room into an environment that encouraged celebrating. Lighting, decor and floral were lush and created an environment that made guests feel special.

AWARDS PRESENTATION: An awards presentation deck was designed to reflect the environment in the ballroom. Each award recipient was acknowledged personally and brought to the stage for a brief photo opportunity. In addition, the award recipient's names were continually run on a loop throughout dinner.
